Makes My Camcorder Very PortableAugust 29, 2010 Buckeye_Knight(Massillon, Ohio) I purchased this carrying pouch for my new Sony SX-63 camcorder. I love the SX-63 camcorder because it it so small, which makes it very portable. To make it even more portable, I needed a camcorder case, that I could carry on my belt, instead of the larger case that I had to carry over my shoulder. This case did the trick!
The pouch is large enough to hold both my camcorder and an extra battery. I put the extra battery in the bottom of the case, and the camcorder on top, with the lens cover closed. Since my camcorder uses internal flash memory (16GB), I don't need tapes or discs, so no need for any additional space.
My only gripe with this case is that I don't care too much for the dual zippers and strap to open the case. It takes some getting used to. 1 zipper with no strap would have been better. It would also be nice if it had a small external zipper pocket to put lens cleaning tissue or an extra memory card.
I recommend this case, but there may be some other one out there that is better. At the time, this was the best I could find for the price, and to be sure it would fit my camcorder (same brand). I used it for a 2 week vacation, having my camcorder on me most of the time, to capture our vacation memories.
A little to big but okAugust 14, 2010 abiax(Minnesota, USA) I have a HD handycam HDR CX110 and this case is a little too big for it. The case is great make of high quality materials but for the specific cam I have I would have preffered one that would fit a little more slick.
Excellent pouchAugust 9, 2010 R Hunt This carrying pouch is excellent for carrying your Sony camcorder around the ballpark or amusement park or for just storing your camcorder. The pouch is roomy enough to even hold the camera with the thicker, long life battery. It is not big enough to hold a lot of attachments or chargers, but if great for carrying the camera by itself.
mehAugust 6, 2010 ecofreak It looks like the customer picture, not the amazon picture--it is squatter
I have a cx150 and it is about the right height, but the width is ridiculous. I'm going to have to put some sort of stuffing in so that my camera doesn't jiggle around inside the case. It is a good general case just so that my camera is not out in the open, but if you want a nice fit and your camera is about the size of the sony cx150, there is a more expensive case on sony's website (it cost too much--around $60-- i got this because it was cheaper)
cute little camera caseJune 28, 2010 Kathy Jo Slotterback(Staten Island, NY) I like the case a lot, but it is a little tight for my camera. I'm hoping that the zipper doesn't brake while in use. So far it is good though. I'll be taking it on vacation, so I'll know better then how functional it will be when we actually use it for what it was intended.
